Then she went on to appear in "Boyz n the Hood", in 1991. But, it was when she played Cuba Gooding Jr.'s character's wife in the film "Jerry Maguire" in 1996 that she gained widespread recognition. She co-starred in "Enemy of the State" as Will Smith's character's wife. Regina King has enough awards to fill a gallery and she most recently won the 2019 Academy Award in the Best Actress for her Supporting Role as Sharon Rivers in "If Beale Street Could Talk"
